Are You Hosting An Anniversary Party For Your Mother And Father?

Are your parents soon to be celebrating fifty years of marriage? If so, it's no wonder that you are honoring them with a celebration. Do you already have the event planned? If so, that must be a huge relief. On the other hand, maybe you are still in the planning stages of the party. If that's the case, from arranging for party catering to doing the table decorations yourself, here are some ideas that might help you.

Party Catering

Will the event be a small one, or will it be attended by many friends and family members? If it will be an intimate event, maybe you are holding it at your own home, and perhaps you feel comfortable preparing the food yourself. If your parents had a long guest list, and maybe you added more names to the list, you might be better off having the party catered. Whether you host the event in your back yard or whether you rent a banquet hall, catering just makes good sense, doesn't it?

Will your parents want a casual party? If so, the caterers might suggest that you have something like a barbecue meal where guests go through a buffet line. If you and your parents have decided together that you want a more formal event, the caterers might suggest something like filet mignon and grilled salmon as the main course. By selecting two main courses, the guests will be able to select the one they like best.

Whether you have an informal catered event or a fancy one, won't it be great knowing that you won't have to prepare and serve food to many guests? And, the fact that the caterers will do the cleaning after your party is just the icing on the cake.

Table Decorations

Your table decorations will go with the type of event you're hosting. For example, if you are planning a casual barbecue, then it might be fun to have pictures of your parents that are placed in rustic wooden frames as the centerpieces. Glass milk bottles filled with faux sunflowers would be a great addition.

If the event will be a formal one, of course you'll want a more formal theme as the centerpieces. Pictures of your parents in silver frames would be perfect. And, as an added decoration, think of having crystal vases with roses in them. Candles would also be appropriate additions to the centerpieces.
